In Antigua & Barbuda, plastics and trash on beaches and in the shallows cause a significant problem for our local marine environment.
Turtle nesting sites can be disrupted, marine animals ensnared, and the mangroves filled with plastics and other debris.
In collaboration with other local environmental groups, our Wild Coast Cleaning Group tackles offshore, and hard to reach beaches and mangroves, and removes plastics, fishing nets and other rubbish from those locations.
