ABOT is very pleased to announce that on 18 October, 2025, our second class of youth EcoDivers (ED2s) graduated from our program. Geniya George, Shanae Jervier, Jhemsey Paredes, Tyson Robinson and Donte Trimingham all completed the course and received their graduation certificate.
The ED2 course started on 7 February, 2025 when they began their PADI Open Water Diver course with Louis Evans from DiveCarib. They went on to complete their Advanced Open Water Diver course while also learning about marine conservation topics from some of our resident experts on island.
They are now transitioning to our ABOT Volunteer Diver program where they can continue to dive free of charge, while helping us clean the reefs in our surrounding waters.
A big thank you to DiveCarib for providing all of the training and mentoring of our new divers and to all of our guest speakers who provided their expertise and guidance to our new marine stewards.
