ABOT has no paid staff. Every penny donated goes directly towards our conservation projects — equipment for reef cleanups, funding for Youth EcoDiver courses, and the costs of running our wild coast expeditions.
We accept donations in several ways to make it as easy as possible to give, wherever you are in the world. US citizens can also donate through our partner organization Caribbean Ocean Trust and receive a tax deduction.
Becoming a supporter means you're part of ABOT's community of conservation advocates. All levels receive our regular newsletter and updates on our work. Volunteer divers are asked to become supporters at a minimum Bronze level (US$100).
ABOT is run entirely by volunteers. We have no paid staff — so every hour you give goes directly into conservation work. Whether you're an experienced diver or simply someone who cares about Antigua & Barbuda's marine environment, there's a role for you.
We welcome volunteers who live full-time on the island, part-time residents, and visitors who want to make their time in Antigua count. Whatever your skills and availability, complete the form below and we'll be in touch.
Join our experienced dive team for reef cleanups, wreck cleanups, nursery cleans, lionfish hunts and scientific projects. AOWD certification or 20+ dives required. Volunteer divers are asked to become supporters at Bronze level (US$100/year). ABOT funds all dive costs.
Help tackle the remote beaches and coastlines that standard cleanups miss. No diving required — we often travel by boat to reach offshore islands and hard-to-reach shores. A brilliant way to contribute if you're not a diver.
Support our public events, film screenings, school visits and community engagement activities. Great for those who want to help with education and awareness, rather than underwater work.
Help us raise the funds that keep everything running — event organization, grant applications, donor communications, social media, website, and general administration. Skills-based volunteering that makes a huge difference behind the scenes.

The ABOT Youth EcoDiver Program funds and runs fully certified PADI dive courses for young people aged 13–18 who are based in Antigua & Barbuda. It's designed for students who have a passion for the ocean and marine science but who may face financial barriers to getting certified.
All instruction is delivered by fully qualified PADI instructors on the islands. After completing their PADI Open Water Diver certification, participants go on to Advanced Open Water training and receive dedicated education in marine conservation specific to Antigua & Barbuda's ecosystems.
Graduates are invited to join the ABOT Volunteer Dive Team, where they continue to develop their skills and take part in reef cleanups — and act as mentors for future cohorts. Two courses run per year, with six to eight students per course.
Our next courses will be held in 2027 — applications are now open.
